Swimming with the fishes, see....

Well I think we have upgraded from drizzle or rain to downpour. As our first day free from work, we were all stoked to explore a little more of the city. But no worries mate. It was time to explore what Sydney has to offer indoors. So Mike and I decided to take a walk-about to the Sydney Aquarium (pictures are shown above). It is a pretty impressive structure with the large floating docks for the Sea Lion enclosure, Shark enclosure and the Great Barrier Reef system. You go underwater and walk through tunnels throughout the enclosure watching them swim over and around you. Kinda freaky having a 15 ft shark swimming a couple of inches from you.

Following the aquarium Mike and I decided to walk around Darling Harbor and find a nice place to eat lunch. Granted it is pouring rain, but hey that doesn’t stop two high price engineers from walking in the rain. We find a great restaurant along the harbor and got some fish and chips for Mike and some burger and chips for myself. Now for those of you not familiar with the ways of the countries across the water, chips are actually French Fries. Catsup is actually known at tomato sauce, and we as men are mates. We are starting to slowly understand people here. I understand they speak English but it is some crazy English, or as they call it Australian (only England speaks English).

So now I am going to take a quick nap to get ready for the Opera tonight. Pictures to be uploaded in a couple of minutes.
