No worries, mate!
Watch out you tossers! Kick off you wanker! Yes I have seen the crazy and wild game of rugby. Now ask me which clubs (Australian for teams) were playing and I while trying keep a straight face it was the bulldogs over the roosters (keep the heckling to a minimum). Now no we didn’t actually go to the stadium, rather we went to one of my cousin’s favorite water holes (a.k.a pub). Now to explain the mood in this club would be to describe something out of the movie Euro Trip. Imagine multiple rooms of huge Aussie guys, beer in hand, wearing the colors of their team, all screaming at the top of their lungs for the team of their choice. Not understanding most of the game (imagine a cross between soccer, football, and street fighting NY style), I have to say it was incredibly exciting and such a close game. The cabbies were all making animal noises for their respective teams over the radio (picture native born Indian men making bulldog and rooster noises over a radio). But at the end of two hours, tears fell, blood was spilt, but out emerged the victors, the Bulldogs! Go Dogs!
Tomorrow I fly home and it is with a sweet sadness that I get on the plane. This is a great city and has been quite a bit of fun, but I am also ready to get home, see some friends I have been neglecting, and get ready for my next trip in 2 weeks. I will post final pictures from this trip when I get home.
Cheers Mate.
